The landlords Stuart and Mandy wanted to improve their outdoor space which was painted in dull brown and was in need of repair. They asked me if I could paint a Bristol landscape like some the murals I had done before (this theme is quickly becoming my speciality hah). For a change I chose to include some of the city’s history like the huge Castle that stood in the centre of town for over 500 years, it was demolished in 1656, only a few walls are still visible today. Mandy’s only request was to include ‘CatFace’ her cat, I placed her in the tree doing a bit of fishing.

I enjoyed painting there for a three days with unlimited free booze and all the locals coming out for chats.
